As Yizzy continues to prove himself the prolific, self-proclaimed ‘Prince of Grime’, we caught up with him to talk Bugzy Malone, anime and playing Field Day last year.

We’ve been fans of Yizzy for some time now and he just keeps on delivering. Last year the Lewisham MC dropped his highly acclaimed mixtape Welcome to Grime Street, followed by Part 1 and 2 of his ‘Prince of Grime Freestyles’ earlier this year. On top of that he’s just launched his new label RTL with the first release being his searing new single ‘Thierry Henry’.

Drawing inspiration from track’s legendary footballer namesake, ‘Thierry Henry’ sees Yizzy step up the heat even more with his inimitable, quick-witted flow and sharp, sleek production. The track weaves in Gunner references and is accompanied by a visualiser with Yizzy in the Emirates stadium wearing the fresh new 20/21 kit as he delivers incisive bars with effortless, unflinching assurance.

‘Thierry Henry’ further cements Yizzy as a truly unstoppable force in grime right now and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
