It’s officially less than a month until Visions Festival. In anticipation, we’ve chatted to Sampa the Great, Laura Misch has taken some dreamy photos for us, we’ve built you a playlist and highlighted some of the performances that we’re most looking forward to.

But one of our favourite things about the multi-venue Hackney extravaganza is that there’s so much to do besides the music programme. Did someone say puppies? We thought we’d move away from the music momentarily to find out what else you can get up at Visions on Saturday 4th August.

Yep, it’s back, the annual celebration of doggos in the form of the Visions Dog Show. In association with All Dog’s Matter and The Line of Best Fit, this year’s dog show will be based around the theme of ‘World Leaders, Past and Present’. Roll up to see your favourite furry friends compete in the following categories: Fancy dress, best dog, cutest pup, best trick, and waggiest tail. Past judges have included Mystery Jets and Shura, so let’s hope for 2018 we get a music-maker with an eye for well-dressed pets.

Visions Market returns for 2018, if you’re into arts and crafts then this is where you want to be hanging out. For the daredevils amongst you, Old Habits tattoo artists will be on site for a game of roll the dice. It’s all in the name but yes, for £50 you’ll get a tattoo, the design of which will be determined by the number you roll. You’ll also be able to get your palm read, peruse classic band merchandise, screen-print your own t-shirt, and play beer pong.

Indulge in some of the best street food London has to offer; choose from the likes of Greek pittas from Kalimera, Mexican fare courtesy of Club Mexicana, Middle Eastern vegan delights from What The Fattoush and why not have a crêpe for pudding thanks to Le Merlin.

This year Visions has partnered with Super Bock to bring you Visions Beer Garden, a cute pop-up with DJs including Worldwide affiliate Thris Tian, NTS host Charlie Bones and sound artist Fran Lobo. As if this all wasn’t enough, quench your thirst for new vinyl at the Record & Zine Fair, and sing to your heart’s content in Punk Rock Karaoke. We’d suggest stopping by Visions Beer Garden just before for that all-important Dutch courage. See you at the mic!

Visions Festival takes place in London Fields on Saturday 4th August.
