Having released their unconventional debut album earlier this year (unconventional in the way it comprised of their three previous EPs), Tuff Love bring their energetic, yet serene sounding fuzzy guitar pop to the Brewhouse Stage this week. Hailing from Glasgow, their dreamy sounds is emphasised by their home production and heart-wrenching vocals.

We caught up with the duo to find out more about their sound.

If I had to describe our music in 3 words, I’d use…
To the point

My favourite film ever is…
(Julie) Les Amants du Pont-Neuf

The most famous person I’ve met is…
(Suse) Roddy Woomble from Idlewild, we played his festival on Iona this summer. I really liked them when I was younger (and still now) and was kind of starstruck when I met him. Also we met Paolo Nutini in the summer, he was really nice.

The best venue I’ve played so far is…
Barrowlands in Glasgow

The song I hate the most is…
Price Tag by Jessie J.

The Worst Job I’ve ever had is…
(Julie) It’s a toss up between being a nanny and working in pub full of coke-heads… :/

If I was in a tribute band it would be a….
a JAMES covers band called James’ Addiction

My Favourite word is….

If I had a super power I’d want it to be….
(Suse) being an Animorph. Like in the tv programme. I’d want to be able to change into a dog whenever I wanted to.

If I could play a gig anywhere it would be…
Japan maybe? Yeah Japan. Or somewhere in Canada in the woods as long as someone could make sure there were no bears near us, and if there were bears near us that they were not hungry for human ffflllleessshhh.

I think you should listen to…
Victoria Hume – Closing E.P

If I could see anyone play live it would be…
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm probably the Beatles actually.
