After a short break we’re back for more photographer features. To kick things off again we’re featuring Toni White, who goes by Toni Visuals for her photo/video work. She’s been shooting for LiS since the start of 2019, and comes at each project with admirable enthusiasm. Aside from photos, she has produced a short film which was screened at Cineworld, and her second short film is currently in preproduction. Below she talks us through her top 5 concerts she’s shot for London in Stereo.
Lewis Capaldi at Brixton Academy, November 2019
This was the biggest show I’ve shot so far. It was so much fun seeing such a great artist on my little camera screen. I wish I could have stayed to watch the rest of the show but it was still such an amazing night!
Cub Sport at Omeara, February 2019
I’d heard of Cub Sport before shooting the show but never listened to them. I really connected to their music at the show, came home and listened to every album on repeat for weeks!
Circa Waves at The Roundhouse, April 2019
I remember I had extreme anxiety this day and struggled to get on the train for the show. But as soon as I got there and felt the energy in the room, I knew I’d made the right choice. This show reaffirmed my passion and love for music photography.
Ruel at The Garage, June 2019
Shooting Ruel’s show meant a lot to me. I’d tried and failed to get a pass to his show a year prior when I’d just started shooting small gigs. I was over the moon when I was confirmed to be shooting his show a year later, it felt like everything had come full circle!
Yungblud at Electric Ballroom, March 2019
I have been a fan of Yungblud for years. I remember freaking out in my kitchen when I got the email confirming me for the show. I’d only been shooting for LiS for a short while and this was my first bigger venue, with my first pit. That was a crazy feeling: standing in the pit, looking up from my camera and seeing one of my favourite artists in front of me.
