The enigmatic Sharda releases his latest project, Champagne Circuits, today via Local Action…
Moschino-clad speed garage devotees unite; Sharda’s latest EP is out now via Local Action. The six-track Champagne Circuits marks the first Sharda release on the London label, following a debut self-titled EP on Murlo’s Coil Records last year, and further singles on Conducta’s Kiwi Records and Swing Ting.
A regular feature at Local Action parties with a knack for the perfect dance floor banger, Sharda latest offering is as buoyant and as bold as ever before. Ranging from 127bpm through to a hell-raising 170bpm, Champagne Circuits is a joyful, wickedly fun technicolour ride. From the bright piano chords of opener and lead single ‘Ravecity Riverfront’ through to thrilling and aptly-named closing cut ‘Rowdy Boy Ringroad’, the EP is threaded together by trademark pitched-up and manipulated vocals that hark back to Sharda’s love for the Ridge Racer games. Listen to Champagne Circuits below:
Champagne Circuits is out today (December 6th) via Local Action. In celebration of the release, our latest In Five, selected by Sharda, is a roller coaster ride of 90s bangers, with a Ridge Racer theme tune thrown in for good measure.
