Sea Pinks don’t wait around for anyone, having released 6 albums in the last 7 years they have a knack for developing pop hooks and embrace an upbeat spirit which gives their music a real joie de vivre. With their new album Watercourse released at the end of this week, the band head to Bush Hall on May 29th to bring the new tracks to life.

We get to know them better ahead of the show with a few quick questions to band member Davey Agnew…

If I had to describe our music in 3 words, I’d use…
Pop songs, basically.

My favourite film ever is…
Anything by Kieslowski. If it’s got a depressed Polish boy and a flute soundtrack, I’m sold.

The most famous person I’ve met is…
Timmy Mallett.

The best venue I’ve played so far is…
A mountain-top vineyard in Padua. We’ve played to more people before, but I don’t think we’ve played to more fruit.

The song I can’t listen to is…
Any samba that white people play at carnivals.

The Worst Job I’ve ever had is…
Head of subliminal advertising for Chris de Burgh.

If I was in a tribute band it would be a…
Much more stable way of earning a living as a musician.

If I had a superpower I’d want it to be…
The ability to morph into any professional snooker referee from any period of snooker history.

If I could play a gig anywhere it would be…
The Crucible, Sheffield.

I think you should listen to…
New Trolls – Che Idea.

If I could see anyone play live it would be…
Wyld Stallyns.
