Rae Morris // In Short

rae morris

Unless you’ve been living under some sort of weak metaphor of a rock for the whole of 2014 where Bombay Bicycle Club’s nigh-on perfect So Long, See You Tomorrow passed you by, you’ve already heard Rae Morris. Y’know that euphoric chorus in ‘Luna’ with the soaring vocals that blows your mind each time you hear it? That’s Rae Morris. Now imagine isolating the sheer joy of that moment and recreating it in track upon track of Rae Morrissy goodness. That’s Rae Morris.

She’ll be headlining the Village Underground on Tuesday 16th September, and we know we say this sort of thing a lot (it’s kind of our job) but you’d be real foolish to miss out. Ahead of this, we quizzed Rae on the important things in life. Things like The Chuckle Brothers. Check it out below while you give the rather lovely Fryars-featuring ‘Cold’ a spin.

The worst job I’ve ever had is…
Out of the two jobs I’ve had, I’d say waitressing at Blackpool Football Club was probably the most unsuited to me – but I shouldn’t complain!

If I was in a tribute band it would be a…
Coldplay tribute, with my brother Will

My favourite word is…
Bilious, because it sounds like how I feel when I say it
