Pile // In Short

Pile, man. What can we say? Pile are just one of those bands you stumble upon every few years who remind you of what a band can be, who make you immediately want to drop all of your stupid commitments like jobs and relationships and form your own damn band and get drunk and tour the country for the sheer love of it.

Their native Boston, with its rich alt-rock history, is a fitting background to Pile’s post-slacker, loose and loud guitars – and the scene which has also birthed the likes of Krill continues to blow us all away on a regular basis. Remember when we talked about how amazing Krill are? Well, get this: Krill actually wrote and named an EP about listening to Pile and how great that experience is. Yeah, I know right?

We caught up with Rick from the band and asked all the usual questions, but really, the main thing you need to take from this is that Pile play at The Lexington on June 11th and if you’re not going to see Pile at The Lexington on June 11th then, seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? Have we ever steered you wrong before? Just, like, do it, you guys. We mean it.
