The past 12 months have been as good as perfect for Oscar. After solidifying the early buzz around him at the back end of last year and beginning of this, he released his infectiously lovable debut album Cut and Paste in May.

He’s currently taking it out on the road on a European tour and as he ends the UK leg with his biggest headline show to date at The Dome, we caught up with London’s most colourful crooner and all-round happy chappy to ask some all-important questions…

If I had to describe my music in 3 words, I’d use…
Uplifting, eclectic and groovy

My favourite film ever is…
The Fifth Element because the outfits are fire and the story is ridiculous and it’s set in the future.

The most famous person I’ve met is…
John Malkovich. I met him aged nine at a Bella Freud fashion show and asked him about his suit.

The song I hate the most is…
I tend to get obsessed with songs and overplay them and end up hating those songs a bit.

The worst job I’ve ever had is…
Being an underpaid shop assistant in a clothes shop. I would eat snacks in the toilet ’cause we weren’t allowed a proper lunch break.

If I was in a tribute band it would be…
Blondie

My favourite word is…
Spiritual. It never gets old.

If I had a super power I’d want it to be…
To teleport. The holiday struggle is real. To be able to just appear in another country instead of FaceTime someone would be incredible.

If I could play a gig anywhere it would be…
Tokyo or Mexico City

I think you should listen to…
Frankie Cosmos. Her album Next Thing is so dreamy.

If I could see anyone play live it would be…
Kendrick Lamar
