With her intricate instrumental and vocal pairing, Mega purveys a striking, raw vulnerability. Having recently returned with her stunning new single, we caught up with her for a quick chat.

Following on from her impressive and acclaimed debut ‘Chariot’, ‘Let Me Let You Go’ continues to place Mega’s rich, emotive and tender vocals centre stage with impactful, sparse instrumental accompaniment. Whilst Mega’s songwriting offers wistful introspection in its frank honesty and vulnerability, at the core of her music is also a resplendent sense of hope as she pours her all into her songs, embracing and presenting all the deep feeling and expressions that it is to be human.

“Being vulnerable can be quite a scary thing to do at times, especially when entering new relationships,” Mega explains of the new track. “Whether that be a friendship or romantic relationship. ‘Let Me Let You Go’ is about learning to be vulnerable, learning to let go and learning to trust. Sometimes bad past experiences and fear of there being a repetition of those bad experiences makes it difficult to be able to do that – to trust. When you find that something real/ a pure love: hold on to it! Dare to be vulnerable! This song is about embracing that person in your life and being courageous enough to be vulnerable.”
