Widely regarded as the opening date in the festival calendar, Live At Leeds showcases the city’s finest bars, pubs and clubs with an alternate and indie-rock-focused line-up…

Spearheading the bill on May 4th are electro wonk-pop veterans Metronomy, emerging art-rockers Sundara Karma and the chart-ruffling Tom Grennan – the latter undoubtedly the token commercial punt, in a bid to attract the mainstream.

But luckily LAL has retained its grass-roots feel over the years. Larger venues such as the 02 are complimented with a quirky and close-vicinity selection of independent venues – including Belgrave, Nation of Shopkeepers and The Key Club just to name a few.
