Lia Ices // In Short

Lia Ices Colour copy

With her third album Ices coming out on Jagjaguwar this month, Lia Ices has gathered a strong fanbase for her Cat Power meets Tori Amos kind of sound. More so than ever this New York based act has given in to her odd-pop sensibilities to create something undeniably fun and brilliantly offbeat.

She’s guaranteed to bring only the best vibes to Birthdays when she puts in an appearance this Wednesday (ticket info below), and frankly you’d be a god damn fool to miss out. Ahead of the show we caught up briefly with Lia to talk gigs in (presumably former) Nazi headquarters, and found out which US president she’s had the pleasure of meeting. Want to know the answer? Read on! And while you do that, make sure to check out her new track ‘Higher’. It’s a bit good.
