When you and your long-time best friend start looking alike, you know you’ve got a problem. But the eerie duo of Rosa, 16, and Jenny, 17, have taken their otherworldly connection and created some supremely odd pop music.

Cloaked under two huge manes of curly hair the pair – who have known each other since they were four – signed to the esteemed Transgressive records recently, with the label’s bosses calling them “the most unique and fascinating duo to have come out of the UK for some time.” Think Cocteau Twins crossed with Kate Bush and you are in the right ballpark.

But if you want ‘unique’ look no further than the video for their haunting track ‘Deep Six Textbook’. Released in March, it was filmed at Cromer on the Norfolk coast near their hometown of Norwich. If nothing else, it’s a bizarre – if captivating – glimpse into the world of the daring duo. Their debut album is expected this summer.

And with the pair playing The Great Escape Festival in Brighton in May, we decided to grill Jenny with a few burning questions about her run-in with Mark Ronson, love of marijuana lexicon and plans for a Daft Punk tribute band.
