Tomorrow night (September 18th) Turin’s Club to Club festival and Field Day come together to put on an incredible line-up at Village Underground to prepare you all for the main event in November. With Fatima Al Quadiri, Laurel Halo, Vaghe Stelle and more taking to the stage it’s a perfect introduction to the Electronic Dance festival of the year. To get you all in the mood Village Underground’s Declan Cosgrove picks out 5 of his favourite Laurel Halo tracks.
Laurel Halo – Hour Logic
A track with immense presence and emotion . There’s a constant growth in the sounds and textures, I think the power this creates makes Hour Logic feel like it would be the perfect score to a film.
Laurel Halo – Throw
Opening with eerie piano chords, the track grows into a bass heavy monster full of power.
Laurel Halo – Chance of Rain
This record has the feel of about 3 different tracks merged together as one. With the beauty of her production bringing all the different elements together to create something unique and brilliant.
Laurel Halo – Noyfb
Noyfb has an underlying dark undertone through out the track. Created by the multiple abstract elements leaning in and out. A weird and wonderful late night tune.
Laurel Halo – Ainnome
Exercising her skill of huge soundscapes and textures in the intro of the track, she moves on to showing off her techno sound with a driving kick, massive bass line and harsh snares.
