“Captain” Kyrist guides us through 5 standout tracks that have inspired her boat line up at Red Bull Music Odyssey taking place on the Thames this weekend.

50 artists, 6 boats and 1 journey – the Red Bull Odyssey is a once in a lifetime voyage setting off in the heart of London this Saturday 30th June. Captains include Denis Sulta, Julie Adenuga, Henry Wu, Jubilee and more but one captain we are particularly excited about is Bristol Drum and Bass producer Kyrist.

Kyrist has commandeered a huge line up with the likes of Goldie, Randall, Storm, Flight and Benny L and so we asked her to talk us through five tracks that have inspired the ultimate Drum and Bass voyage…

Goldie vs Ulterior Motive – I Adore You

Just a sublime piece of music, and one of my favourite tracks off Goldie’s ‘The Journeyman’ album. The music video got me right in the feels too!

Serum & Inja – Blow Them Away

Featuring two of the artists performing on the boat, I can’t wait to hear a set laced with heavy vibes like this.

Break, DLR & Randall – Song & Dance

This one just screams summer boat party vibes for me, and its got that Bristol sound that I love so much right now. So much funk!

S.P.Y – The Boy Who Cried Wolf

One of the first tunes that got me into the darker, moodier side of DNB, I love it when SPY goes dark side!

Kyrist – Find A Meaning

Got to include one of my own here, I still think this has summer vibes written all over it, and is gonna be perfect blasting this out on the boat.
