With his effervescent and atmospheric pop, Keaton Dekker has already been carving out a name for himself as a fresh, exciting new artist. As he releases his debut EP today, we caught up with the East London producer and visual artist to talk Rye Wax, Hilary Duff and his fave dish to cook.

In the run-up to the EP, each instalment that Dekker released introduced us to his diverse sonic palette which is on full, vibrant array across the unwelcome series. ‘ITYK’ offers dreamy, wistful R&B pop, whilst his debut single ‘makeup’ bursts with vibrant driving dance beats and warped, shimmering synths. And his most recent single ‘Mint’ sees Dekker craft an expansive and emotive pop cut abounding in swirling, dusky melodies and warm, stirring vocal harmonies.

Across the EP Dekker’s bold, uncompromising creative vision shines through, and the unwelcome series comprises an enchanting and captivating debut offering from the blossoming bedroom-pop artist very much setting him out as one to watch.
