Dance under the motorway at Junction 2 this weekend…
We’re preparing for a slew of festivals this weekend, and we’re kicking off with a Friday spent in Boston Manor Park at Junction 2. It’s the fourth edition of the festival, and for the first time Junction 2 have spread their programming over two days.
Friday’s lineup includes highlights like Ben UFO, Bicep, Carista, Peach, and two back-to-back sets we can’t wait for – Volvox b2b Umfang, and Call Super b2b Shanti Celeste. Saturday’s programme features the likes of techno stalwarts Amelie Lens and Ida Engberg, up-and-comers Lauren Lo Sung and Imogen, and deeper cuts from Sonja Moonear b2b Nicolas Lutz.

The festival is spread over five stages. Main Stage, the most expansive al fresco space, is inspired by Dutch festivals like Dekmantel. The Bridge, Junction 2’s most iconic image, sees punters dancing under the M4 flyover. The Warehouse takes dancers indoors for a stripped back and industrial rave experience. The canvas Stretch stage is all about banging, crisp sound. And finally The Woods, the FACT takeover at which we’re particularly looking forward to, has a bed of leaves as a dance floor.
With an attention to detail that many festivals aspire to, Junction 2 is about the 360 degree festival experience. Crisp sound and excellent production, minimal queuing, a commitment to being sustainable, no VIP area, and a bringing together of like-minded and respectful ravers.
