Ho99o9 // In Short

horror visions

Pronounced ‘horror’ – the Ho99o9 duo of theOGM and Yetti999 (or Jean and Eaddy, to their mums) have harnessed a wild version of hardcore rap, punk and thrash. It’s rounded out by a drummer when they play live, who riffs off their abrasive electronic outbursts and theatrical stage show. And luckily for you, their unholy hybrid of a sound that would make even Black Flag or Bad Brains proud is coming to Visions festival on August 8. Consider yourself warned.

The group’s beats are dark, messy and intense like their rhymes – both well-versed in their politically incorrect and disturbing kind of way. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, the fine art of blasphemy, a love of necrophilia, a taste for drugs, and a pinch of murder, just for good measure.

The lads came up from the mean streets of New Jersey and have cultivated an underground cult-following that has followed them to the West Coast when they moved last year, and one that demands new tracks regularly. And with their debut album on the way, we caught up with the Jean and Eaddy to ask them the difficult questions. From a safe distance, of course…
