DIY punks to the core, Grandmas House channel a raw, visceral vivacity both in sound and presence. The Bristol band have garnered a great deal of acclaim for their raucous, playful live shows and fully cemented this reputation earlier in the year with their debut single ‘Devil’s Advocate’. We caught up with the trio to talk Pot Noodles, King Princess and Katy J Pearson.

On ‘Devil’s Advocate’ Grandmas House deliver a fully-charged, urgent post-punk cut. With their howling vocals, growling basslines and buoyant surf-noir riffs the trio certainly make their mark with an undeniably potent and playful debut track.

Whilst they aren’t able to bring this energy to the stage right now, Grandmas House have been putting this into some great TikTok content, amongst other things, as they detail: “We all live together, so we’ve been making a lot of TikToks and have watched most of Love Island Australia, so I think we’ve been pretty productive to be honest. It’s hard not being able to go to the studio – we were in the middle of recording a new single, which we’ve put on hold for now, but we can’t wait to share it soon! We’re definitely looking forward to playing gigs again, especially as we were meant to be playing London and Brighton for the first time ever in the next couple of weeks, so we’re excited to do that at some point in 2020!”
