In our latest In Short, DJs Pareja celebrate their debut release on Honey Soundsystem…
“Pareja” is the Spanish word for couple, or partner, and thus the name embraced by Mariano and Diego aka DJs Pareja – a couple and duo that have been working together for more than two decades, after meeting at a party all the way back in 1993.
DJs Pareja’s monthly queer club night, Fun Fun in Buenos Aires, promotes, like the duo’s music, a safe inclusive space to party, with diversity and inclusiveness at the fore. Fun Fun provides a platform to shine a light on local, upcoming talent.
Inspired by heady Buenos Aires basement parties, The After marks a debut release for DJs Pareja on Honey Soundsystem, the San Francisco collective and label also home to the likes of Octo Octa, Patrick Cowley and Bézier. The After delivers four tracks for a peak time dance floor; driving, percussive electro for fans of Paranoid London.
The After is out now via Honey Soundsystem. In celebration of the release, get to know DJs Pareja In Short…
