The inaugural Cross The Tracks, Brixton’s Soul, Jazz & Funk festival, takes place this Sunday 9th June in Brockwell Park…
Following the release of Hello Happiness, her first full-length record in over a decade, we cannot wait to see the brilliant goddess of funk Chaka Khan in Brixton this weekend.
For their debut outing, brand new south London festival Cross The Tracks have invited a slew of the best in soul, jazz and funk to Brockwell Park for a (hopefully) sunny Sunday session. Further highlights on the stellar lineup include motown legends Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Ninja Tune affiliate Jordan Rakei, south London songstress Poppy Ajudga, and Mercury nominees The Comet Is Coming. As well as a brilliant music programme, Cross The Tracks will also feature over forty of London’s most delicious street food vendors, The Arcane Emporium – a market featuring independent record labels and craft traders – a craft beer fair, yoga and wellness courtesy of Cosmic Pineapple, and various talks, panels and workshops.
