Two artists to revered in their sphere are joined by two acts that are making waves of their own – Bristol outfit Giant Swan, whose frenetic live show will leave you breathless, and Afrodeutsche (who we’ve interviewed in the latest issue here), whose Drexciyan electro will keep the floor grooving.

“Trance party is back in its purest form.” Evian Christ’s Trance Party returns, with three parties taking place across Glasgow, Barcelona and London to celebrate a decade of weird and wonderful trance euphoria. Expect more lasers and strobes than people (nearly) and look out for a cardboard cut-out of Trance Party mascot Danny Wellbeck. For the London edition it’s back to Corsica Studios, with Evan Christ inviting German stalwart Chrisoph de Babalon (responsible for “the most menacing record” Thom Yorke owns) to play. He’s joined by Shock Value founder and artist Juliana Huxtable, Bristol’s Pessimist, “little techno bat” Sybil, Fade to Mind’s Total Freedom, and Sweden’s Yung Sherman.

Mix of the Month
Eris Drew Raving Disco Breaks Vol. 1
A new addition to this feature that’s been added almost exclusively because of this mix courtesy of Eris Drew. Drew and partner Octo Octa have launched a new label – T4T LUV NRG – and this casette mixtape is their first delivery. Eris Drew’s mixing is as tight and original as ever here. Raving Disco Breaks Vol. 1 sounds “like everyone did ecstasy at the roller rink” – a super uplifting 70 minutes that is perfect for the summertime.
