We caught up with the singer, musician and producer Chaouche in the run up to her performance at Union Chapel on 25th October to find out a little more about what does (and doesn’t) make her tick.

Singer, musician and producer Aisha Chaouche follows her debut EP Safe, only a few months after its release, with a brand new musical offering set for release on limited edition 10” vinyl. The follow-up EP Progression is coming out on 2nd November through Late Night Tales’ artist label Night Time Stories.

Aisha’s striking vocals sit centre-stage among her production of manipulated piano, electronic beats, sub-bass, sound effects and cello. Developed from an initial musical concept; melodies, structures and sounds bloom, exchange and reprise roles across the tracks, the EP evolving into a suite of four parts.

She said “The EP is about a natural progression, discovering courage and concurring fears. A small step in the right direction. A true understanding of my strengths and weaknesses that makes me feel much more emotionally balanced and focused.”

We caught up with the artist in the run up to her performance at Union Chapel on 25th October supporting Solomon Grey to find out a little more about what does and doesn’t make her tick.
