Brooklyn Brewery Mash London // Preview


If there’s one thing we like as much as music at London in Stereo, it’s beer. Throw in some food, film, comedy and books and you’ve got yourself a pretty great week of events – which is exactly what masters of craft beer Brooklyn Brewery are doing with their second annual Mash tour.

This is the first time the tour will be hitting London, collaborating with London chefs, artists and a whole host of brewers, the Mash tour kicks off on July 26th, running until August 3rd across various London venues. Mash EDU – Homebrewer Edition // July 26th // CRATE Brewery

Taught by local brewers from CRATE, this class is focused on craft beer history, brewing, tasting profiles, and changes in craft beer culture. Whether you are a learned veteran with more brewing equipment than living space or this is the first time beer has ever sparked your interest, this is the event for you.

Brooklyn Brewery Afternoon Delight // July 26th // Well & Bucket

A deliciously simple event, come down for your share of fresh-shucked oysters and playful Sorachi Ace.

Dinner On The Farm // July 27th // Surrey Docks Farm

Dinner on the Farm works to connect people back to the land and to the farmers and artisans who are making our communities a better place to live. Enter chefs Andrew Gerson, Matt Bishop (Penkul & Banks) and Craig Morris (Piccalilli Caff), to create a sumptuous family style meal.

Mash EDU: Pasta And Beer // July 28th // Burro E Salvia

Join chef Andrew Gerson at Burro e Salvia, Shoreditch’s first pastificio, as he takes you through each step of creating delicious pastas of all shapes and sizes, while correcting common mistakes and teaching you how to build a beautiful dish from the bottom up.

Tap Attack // July 28th // The Kings Arms Pub

An all-out assault on The Kings Arm’s tap system, pouring Perennial, Seasonal & rare beers at the bar with a special visit from Brooklyn Brewery’s co-founder and president Steve Hindy.

Brooklyn’s vibrant alternative comedy scene comes to Shoreditch, with Judah Friedlander leading the charge. As Brooklyn quietly becomes the USA’s capital of comedy, we can guarantee you a loud and hilarious night.

Craft Beer Revolution // July 30th // Camden Town Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Steve Hindy looks back with his fellow craft beer comrades Jasper Cuppaidge of Camden Town Brewery, Jess Seaton of CRATE Brewery & Jenn Merrick of Beavertown Brewery, to discuss the circumstances and ambitions that allowed a handful of individuals across the country to challenge one of the largest corporate dynasties in American history.

Beer And Bites Food Trail // August 1st // Borough Market

Start at Cannon and Cannon to try a spread of charcuterie, then to Borough Cheese for a selection of Comte cheeses, and a sampling at The Fresh Olive Company. Finish it all off with the speciality Brooklyn beers paired with cheeses from Alsop and Walker at the Utobeer drinks cage.

Found Footage Festival // August 1st // Leicester Square Theatre

The Found Footage Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary witha brand-new show. Hosts Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett, whose credits include The Onion and the Late Show with David Letterman, are excited to show off their new lineup of found video clips and live comedy.

A full-blown one-day music festival, partnered with Visions. Your wristband grants access to all venues, including the special Brooklyn Brewery bar at The Laundry, and an amazing line-up of diverse acts such as Poliça, Andrew W.K., Perfume Genius, Baths & more.

Slow Supper // August 3rd // Ace Hotel Shoreditch

This pop-up dinner party embodies The Mash, making it the perfect way to bring the series of events to a memorable close. The curated evening brings people together around a common table to share cuisine crafted by Brooklyn Brewery chef Andrew Gerson in collaboration with The Ace Hotel’s executive chef Matthew Kennard. The duo create foods to be paired with Brooklyn beer styles both familiar and rare, producing one-of-a-kind culinary experiences.
