See what Artwork’s infamous Art’s House party has to offer ahead of this Saturday’s event…

A lovely time!
If anyone knows how best to have a lovely, lovely time, it’s Artwork. As much of a character as he is a stalwart of the scene, Arthur Smith aka Artwork is one of dance music’s most vivacious personalities. A party that started off in a stranger’s living room, Art’s House went next to the intimate basement of The Nest, to the larger-scale dance floor of XOYO, before your favourite house party spread its wings to tour the U.K. and beyond, even setting up camp at the legendary institution Pikes in Ibiza. Now, in the biggest Art’s House party to date, Artwork takes over Three Mills Island on Saturday 11th August for a massive – and refreshingly reasonably priced – knees-up. Enter: Art’s very own lovely London festival.

Rock star of disco, DJ Harvey
As a purveyor of the finest house and disco, beloved for bringing the sunniest of sounds to the darkest of dance floors, it makes perfect sense that the mighty DJ Harvey joins Artwork as his only guest for the party in the park. The pair – who have both held down residencies at Pikes – will play together all day long. Expect breath-taking selections as you dance in the sunshine with views over the Olympic park skyline.

Time of your life
Dance to two of the world’s finest DJs in a field that has been decorated to look like a house (all will be revealed… but yes, you heard right, you can make yourself at home on Artwork’s actual living room sofa), deck yourself out in some Jonny Banger merch, eat some delicious food – courtesy of street food vendors such as Kokodoo, Cheesy Does It!, Yakimaki, and Harry’s Milkshakes, drink some cocktails, play some games, win some prizes, and keep your eyes peeled for more surprises.

World class sound
We all know that sound at London festivals is a constant bugbear for dancers and promoters alike, but it sounds like this will be a distant memory this weekend. Art’s House have managed to bag the IRL Pyramid Stage sound system swiped straight from Worthy Farm. We’re aching for some strong, crisp sound at outdoor events in the capital, so this is going to go down a treat.

What’s a house without some ornaments? Art’s House brings the house party vibe, whether you’re in a house, a club, or a large circular expanse of green grass somewhere near Bow. Wanna swipe that porcelain tabby cat from your Nan’s mantelpiece to wave in the air? May as well, you’ll fit right in.

As HRH Artwork is believed to have once said, “no house is a home without some rugs”. Wipe your feet before you enter the dance, please.

Kinky troop of dancers
Art’s House parties are not truly Art’s House without his fabulous gaggle of dancers. With unrelenting energy that will make you feel enlivened and, let’s face it, probably a bit unfit, expect a lot of colour, and lot of sass, and a lot of outrageous high kicks. The Art’s House dancers are: Lucy Fizz, Jacqui Potato, Juniper Lai, Tete Bang, Finn Love and Rudi Douglas.
