Tim & Barry are a pair of East London audio-visual originators with a passion for underground music. They’ve worked with Dizzee Rascal, Four Tet, Omar Souleyman, Daphni and more, and created the renowned Just Jam nights.
The Jameson Works is committed to craft, creativity and the process behind original projects. Delving into and supporting a world of endeavour and invention, and offering an open-to-all Craft Bursary, it celebrates everything from film and music to food and design – including working with our previous cover stars Wild Beasts.
Put these two together and what do you get? Incredibly, you get The Just Jam Van. Yep, a vehicle rescued from a Doncaster car park has been converted into a top-spec – and then some – studio (plus a bar of course, hey if you’ve got Jameson on board…) by the Snakeskin Jacket Workshop. Which is almost definitely the best thing to come out of Doncaster since Louis Tomlinson.
What is The Just Jam Van going to be doing? Tapping into the halcyon days of 90s rave-culture, it’s going on one hell of a road-trip to find the best in electronic music. Taking in Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, Tim & Barry will be hosting exclusive sessions with a range of the very finest producers and DJs in those cities. Sounds like our kind of road trip!
Before all that though, there’s a launch show in London on April 20th, at Ministry Of Sound, to kick things off in dazzling style. Oneman, DieMantle and Nightwave are going to be bringing the party, and we’ve got five pairs of tickets to give away to it. Winning could not be easier, just let us know the name of your favourite London venue below.
