Dream-pop with a dark twist, Iceland’s Vök have a striking ability to craft arresting soundscapes with a melancholic edge. Their debut album Figure is rich in texture, swaying throughout between the dark and heavy sounds of ‘Floating’ to the minimalistic ballad of ‘BTO’ (below).

Produced by Brett Cox, who has worked with Jack Garratt and Tusks, the album is the follow up to two earlier EPs, 2013’s Tension and 2015’s Circles, and showcases the talent of the four-piece across a vast spectrum of sounds.

Ahead of their show at Bush Hall tomorrow, we had a quick chat with lead singer Margrét.
