Visions Festival returns for 2018, taking over an array of East London venues.
Visions is back and it’s back with a bang. We’re super happy to be partnering with the East London festival again for 2018, as they return bigger than ever to takeover a collection of venues in the London Fields area on Saturday 4th August. With a neat balance of established artists and rising stars across a broad musical spectrum, Visions are focused on offering accessible and alternative entertainment, celebrating some of London’s best events spaces.
For 2018, Visions will span Oval Space, Hangar, London Fields Brewhouse, Space Studios Courtyard & Carpark, NT’s Bar, Netil 360 and the Sebright Arms. Music aside, there’s a dog show – an obvious highlight – a vinyl and zine fair, street food, craft beer and the return of Punk Rock Karaoke.
Sitting pretty on the Dazed100 cool list, six piece rock outfit HMLTD headline ahead of the release of their debut album. Bristolian punk band IDLES also headline in an exclusive London festival performance following their acclaimed debut full length Brutalism. Further highlights include Sampa the Great – razor sharp lyricist with a tone reminiscent of Nadia Rose – dreamy saxophonist and singer-songwriter Laura Misch, recent London in Stereo cover stars Girlhood and experimental multi-instrumentalist Carla Dal Forno.
Presented by Rockfeedback, Bird on the Wire and in association with yours truly, we’ve selected a few of our favourite records from artists on the bill so far. Read on to check the full first wave of artists for Visions 2018, and check back in soon as there’s loads more to come.
