On 20th September, Sofar Sounds is teaming up with Amnesty International to present Give A Home, a day of global gigs in aid of refugees, with London shows including Jessie Ware, Marika Hackman, Hot Chip, Ghetts, Kate Tempest and more.
We asked Tom Lovett, Global Commercial Director of Sofar Sounds, to explain more about the day and share a playlist of artists you can see live in London. To see the full line-up for the day and get tickets, head here.
We know that most people support refugees and want their governments to do more. Give a Home is our way of bringing people together from across the globe to support their fellow human beings who are trying to rebuild their lives in safe, welcoming places. We want people to take the refugee crisis personally. What’s more personal than music? It defines who we are and expresses human emotion that crosses borders, cultures and barriers. The way Sofar works – people hosting concerts in their homes – is all about that welcoming spirit which we need to rediscover in our communities and countries if we want to solve the refugee crisis.
