Godblesscomputers is Lorenzo Nada, a Italian DJ and producer who began recording and performing under the name after a move to Berlin in 2011. Now back in Italy, he’s recently released his third album Solchi and is due to perform a new live show in London for the first time next week.

Ahead of his show at Birthdays next week, we got to know Lorenzo a little better.

Three words to describe my music…
Wood, metal, microchip

Favourite ever film…
Lost In Translation

Favourite Instagram account…
@musicstudios. I know I’m a nerd.

The best venue I’ve played…
Maybe TPO in Bologna. It’s not only about the place itself, I love the energy of my city!

The song I can’t listen to…
A lot…but if I have to say one, I would say any song from Vasco Rossi, maybe the most famous Italian singer.

The worst job I’ve ever had…
When I was at school during the summer I worked in a sofas factory.

My favourite meal to cook…
Vietnamese Pho. Or the Italian classic Spaghetti Carbonara.

If I was in a tribute band it would be…
I hate tribute bands 🙂

My favourite word…
Vediamo, which means ‘let’s see’. I need to take my time.

If I had a superpower I’d want it to be…
I’d like to be invisible.

If I could play a gig anywhere it would be…
In New Zealand. I love that country and the music scene.

I think you should listen to…
Something from the Italian beat scene. There are many unknown talented musicians!

If I could see anyone play live it would be…
The Roots
