Everything the London-via-Bahrain Flamingods do frazzles our brains – in the best possible sense – just a little bit more. From uncovering a secret society of Dubai Kushti wrestlers in their ‘Rhama’ video to the joyfully mesmeric concoction that is ‘Taboo Grooves’, they are a band spinning the most playful and inventive web of psychedelic pop you’re likely to encounter. Before we let ourselves get swept up in all this at Oslo on Wednesday, we had the briefest of chats to discover what fires their imagination and discovered both our favourite film and a love for Tito Puente. Maybe we could join the band?

If we had to describe our music in 3 words, I’d use…

If we were a tribute band we’d be…
A Björk tribute ensemble.

My Favourite word is…

If we could play a gig anywhere it would be…
