After taking over Battersea Arts Centre last year, GOAT Music’s Borderless is back this year for a series of vibrant live music events at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, providing the perfect opportunity to see emerging talent take to the stage.

This year’s event is hosting shows from Anushka, Sola Akingbola’s Critical Mass and Horace Andy. With sounds drawing from funk, dancehall, 70s Afrobeat, jazz and more, Borderless is an eclectic mix of talent not to be missed.

Ahead of Anushka’s show tomorrow (12th Oct), we asked the group’s producer Max Wheeler and singer-songwriter Victoria Port to send over a playlist of tracks they’ve been inspired by lately.

Of their performance, Max told us: “The first record I ever released was written in Forest Gate just round the corner, and Stratford East’s longtime homie and former Musical Director DK Excalibah was one of the first to play it on pirate radio and then later on one of the first ever 1xtra shows! It will be great to be back.” You can buy tickets to their show here.

Borderless runs until 21st October at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.
